Our Team

Co-founded BELKIN in 2013 and was previously CEO of the Ein Tal Eye Center for 6 years. She has extensive managerial experience, including business development, project management, and team leadership. Mrs. Lemann-Blumenthal completed her LL.B. at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and an Executive MBA at Tel-Aviv University, both degrees awarded with Dean’s Honors.

Chief Executive Officer

Internationally renowned scientist and entrepreneur, he is the inventor of the ExPRESS glaucoma shunt, and a founder of Optonol, which was sold to Alcon in 2010. A Professor Emeritus of Ophthalmology at Tel Aviv University, he established the Tel Aviv University Eye Research Institute in the Sheba Medical Center where he headed the Ophthalmic Technology Laboratory. Prof. Belkin holds a Master’s degree in Science from Cambridge University and a Doctorate in Medicine from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.

Founder & Medical Director

Medical device technical executive and a professional R&D team leader with a proven track record in leading multidisciplinary development projects of innovative technologies. He was formerly VP Research & Development at Mennen Medical for 18 years gaining experience in product development and regulatory submissions for a variety of medical devices, with special expertise in developing real-time embedded hardware and software. He holds a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the Afeka Tel Aviv Academic College of Engineering.

Chief Operating Officer

Andrew has a deep knowledge of the ophthalmic industry. He started his career at Johnson & Johnson and has over 30 years of experience in sales, marketing, M&A and general management, notably as VP Commercial, Surgical EMEA for Bausch & Lomb where he was a member of the global surgical management team. He holds an MBA from Henley Business School in England.

Lily has over 15 years of experience in business development within the pharmaceutical and medical device industry in China. She held the role of investment manager for both Haisco Pharmaceutical and Chengdu Kanghong Pharmaceutical Group where she led several due diligence projects and evaluated key international business opportunities. Lily’s skill set includes strategic project management, KOL relationships, as well as being familiar with the NMPA regulatory pathway in China. Fluent in Mandarin and English. She has a M.Sc. in Pharmacokinetics from Sichuan University.

China Country Manager

As a CPA for the past 23 years, Arik brings substantive experience in management and finance. Arik was the VP Operations for HIL Applied Medical where he led all financial and operational aspects of the company. Previously, Arik was the COO and CFO at P2W where he led logistics and was responsible for the fundraising and financing of P2W’s large-scale projects worldwide of USD $100M. Arik has also been an active board member at Make-A-Wish for the past 25 years.

Nancy LeBosquain has two decades of communications experience in the technology, geophysics, and petroleum industries. Previously, she served as Global Internal Communications Manager for CGG, a geophysics company based in Paris with 10,000+ employees. She has a distinct talent for translating complex technical concepts into digestible, shareable ideas. A graduate of Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary, she has also completed executive education at Cambridge University in England & INSEAD in France.

With extensive experience in managing development and design of multidisciplinary systems, opto-mechanics, precise mechanics, electro - mechanical packaging and machining. Sergey was in charge of projects from idea through design and development to working prototype in the fields of healthcare and security. Sergey is highly skilled in coding in various languages, testing, design, UI, production and assembly line building. Sergey has a B.Sc in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Holon Academic Technological Institute.

Tamar brings a wealth of QA/RA experience with her having worked for many medical device start-ups in Israel over the past 15 years. She holds a Degree (B.Sc.) in Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology, University of Judea and Samaria in Ariel.

Algorithm engineer with almost 2 decades of hands on experience in full software development life cycle (SDLC) process in medical devices industry with specialization in embedded real-time software, signal processing algorithms and automated testing systems. Vladimir is a highly accomplished engineer responsible for developing original algorithms, designing and implementing award winning European Patient Monitoring Technology. Vladimir has vast experience in testing and validating software for FDA clearance.

With 30 years of experience in the field of medical devices, from all aspects; R&D, engineering, transitioning from R&D to production, subcontracts management, SW testing, production, warehouse inventory, purchasing and ordering, service support with a team of more than 20 employees. Eli is highly skilled in preparing DMRs, writing procedures and instructions for all product stages and departments to meet medical device standards.

Tomer knows his way around electronics and brings a wealth of experience to his role as practical engineer, ensuring adequate support for the manufacture and fabrication of parts to support our technology. He has a speciality in Practical Electronics from ORT College, Rehovot.

She brings strong analytical skills to BELKIN Vision with the creating of detailed testing plans and test cases. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Life Sciences from Ben-Gurion University in Israel.

System Engineer

Zachary Sacks received his Ph.D. EE at the University of Michigan under the direction of Gerard Mourou (2018 Physics Nobel Laureate) developing ultrafast laser treatments for glaucoma. Previously to joining BELKIN Vision, he was a senior laser scientist at Elbit Systems Elop and heavily involved in research, new technology and product introduction resulting in several patents, consortia with industry and academia, and products. He is a senior member of the IEEE and OSA.

Giacomo has worked in the ophthalmic commercial industry for over 30 years. His vast experience expands across numerous companies including, VP International Sales and Marketing positions at both Eyonics and Medicem Ophthalmic. He spent 5 years at Excel-Lens, as VP Commercial, EMEA. Giacomo contributed many years at industry leader Bausch and Lomb, the most recent as Sales Director, Cataract and Refractive, EMEA. He brings strong knowledge of managing strategic high-growth ophthalmic businesses to BELKIN Vision.

Louise is an exceptional project and event manager. She has 25 years of experience successfully delivering a multitude of complex projects across numerous sectors, including retail, business intelligence solutions, construction and spent 5 years at Bausch and Lomb. Louise has a BTEC in Business Studies and a Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) qualification in Marketing and Project Management.

Yael is an experienced Quality Assurance specialist and document controller in the medical device industry, holding an ISO 13485 internal auditor certificate. She has over three years of experience working with various companies to ensure compliance with industry standards and maintaining quality systems. Yael has supported two companies in achieving ISO 13485 certification to-date.

Yoni started his career in the Israeli Air force as a team leader in the field of Electronic Warfare and from there, continued his professional experience in numerous telecommunication companies in Israel (Bezeq, LG) and later El-Al, Nextin, and medical device companies such as Bio Spring and Illumigyn.

Rotem's vast expertise in training and welfare management, with a focus on the dynamic global high-tech industry, has been cultivated through years of experience in large organizations such as Cadence Design, Zap Group and Septier Communications. With excellent organizational, communications and project management skills, her goal is to improve organizational processes and enhance productivity and efficiency. Rotem holds a B.A. in psychology & management from the Open University of Israel, and an M.A. in organizational behavior from Netanya Academic College.

Employee Experience & HR Operations Manager

Dorit is an experienced preclinical and clinical research & development manager. Prior to joining BELKIN Vision, Dorit served for 12 years as the Preclinical & Clinical Research Manager at Nano-Retina. Her previous research experience was as a post-doctoral fellow in the National Eye Institute, in Paul Sieving’s lab for Translation Research in Retinal and Macular Degeneration. Dorit is a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine graduate of the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. She received her Ph.D. from the Hebrew University.
